Fresh produce seasonal highlights – Summer 2026
Summer is always a peak time for homegrown produce. Top picks this year are Yorkshire strawberries and raspberries, which are a great size and beautifully sweet.greens and cabbages. Add in some fresh podding peas, red kale, carrots, and corn on the cob to create a range of flavoursome dishes.
Lancashire salads are fantastic quality, with many varieties of lettuce being picked and delivered daily throughout the season including lollo rosso, lollo bionda, flat, little gem and cos. Mix these leaves with colourful heirloom tomatoes, bunched beetroot, mixed radishes, cucumber and heritage carrots to serve up a rainbow.
For hearty, nutritious greens you can look forward to kale, tenderstem broccoli, spring greens and cabbages. Add in some fresh podding peas, red kale, carrots, and corn on the cob to create a range of flavoursome dishes.
To create light, refreshing desserts and sweet treats, we take regular deliveries of British cherries, plums and gooseberries. Redcurrants and whitecurrants have a short UK season at the beginning of summer,
so get stocked up on these while they’re available – they’re great for garnishes. And there’s lots of good value stone fruit from Europe coming in including peaches, nectarines and apricots.
